How it worksThe initial step is for you to send me a brief email outlining your
situation. If I think I can help you, we get started. You pay on-line
through my website (above) and send me more details about what you want to work
on and what kind of input you might want from me. You pay £45 for an hour of my
time (in one day or spread over several days) to read and respond to your
emails (see Terms and Conditions below). My responses might include practical exercises and tips to try and/or they may involve
more emotional insights to help you make sense of your situation. We may
bat a few emails back and forth, in one go or over several days, before
your hour is used up. You can then sign up for more time or leave things, to
see how you get on.
Terms
&
Conditions
(When you book, you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions)
Payment
1. You pay in advance for my
‘email time’. I charge £45 per hour, for the time I spend in reading and
responding to you and for any time I need to research any exceptional
questions/issues. Payment is made by Paypal through my website, on an hourly
basis. For example, if you pay £90 this will entitle you to 2 hours of email
responses. You can use up your hour in one day with several emails, or over several days.
2. You can contact me by email
whenever you wish to and I will reply within 48 hours (week-days only), unless
I am on holiday or ill (I will keep you informed).
3. The maximum length of any email
must be no more than two A4 sheets when printed out.
Confidentiality
4. I work under a strict
‘Ethical Framework for Good Practice’ established by the British Association
for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). It outlines the ways in which
counselling and coaching should be conducted.
5. Under the above code, your
consultations with me are entirely confidential. My PC has several security
measures (entry password, up-dated virus/spy-ware protection etc). I will keep
only hard copies of your emails and delete them from the machine. I cannot
however, guarantee absolute computer security due to the nature of this form of
communication and the use of a server.
6. Whilst I am not entitled
to divulge any information or details you tell me under normal circumstances,
if I felt you were in immediate danger to yourself, or to any other person, I
would need to consider involving another person/agency. I would always try to
discuss this with you first and this would only apply in extreme circumstances.
7. We both need to recognise the
limitations of email counselling/coaching we both reserve
the right to end the agreement with two weeks notice.
8. I cannot be responsible for any
failure of my server or internet connection, or any circumstances such as a power-cut,
which prevent me from sending and receiving emails. I will try to
contact you by another means if this occurs.
